This past weekend the Folkloric Dance Group preformed at the Ethnic Enrichment Festival in Kansas City. Despite the long drive and incredible heat, the dancers arrived in KC upbeat and excited to put on a great program. The dancers were divided into two groups of 8, not focusing on any one pair of dancers. Each group seamlessly took turns on the stage, coming together for the final number. Watching the quick foot work from the chicos and the swirling dresses of the chicas their 30 min set was over too soon. Always in awe with timing and precision of their choreography you know they put in a lot of rehearsal hours to make everything look so effortless. It was great seeing new faces added to the team. If they return to KC for a fourth year I recommend going up to the Ethnic Enrichment Festival, the entry is only $5, there is delicious food and great entertainments.
